Lee Wallace is heading for Japan after the defender received a late call-up to join the Scotland squad heading to Asia for Saturday's friendly.

The Hearts defender, imperious for the men in maroon over the last couple of seasons, replaces Celtic's Danny Fox, who was forced to pull out as a result of injury.

 A regular in the Scotland U21 squad, Lee also played for Scotland U19 in the UEFA European Championship final against Spain two years ago.

Lee was last season's Players' Player of the Year and Supporters' Player of the Year.
